OUR MISSION
The Legacy Institute of Economic Attainment works to increase the intergenerational mobility within families living in economically under-resourced communities by teaching financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
PROGRAMS & INITIATIVES
The programs that help to push our mission forward!
YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP & FINANCIAL LITERACY INITIATIVE
The program aims to empower young individuals by fostering entrepreneurial skills and financial literacy. Through a series of workshops, mentorship programs, and community events, the initiative provides valuable knowledge and resources to help youth cultivate business acumen and financial responsibility. Spanning across the state of Louisiana, this comprehensive program equips the next generation with the tools they need for economic success and self-sufficiency.
ADULT
ENTREPRENEURSHIP & FINANCIAL LITERACY INITIATIVE
This program is designed to support adults in developing their entrepreneurial ventures and enhancing their financial acumen. Through workshops, training sessions, and networking opportunities, the initiative equips participants with the skills needed to navigate the business landscape and make informed financial decisions. Spanning across the state, this initiative plays a crucial role in fostering economic empowerment and sustainability among adults in Louisiana.
HIGH SCHOOL TO COLLEGE & WORKPLACE TRANSITION ASSISTANCE
Serving primarily as a referral program, this initiative strategically connects participants with diverse resources, including mentorship networks, educational institutions, and professional development opportunities. By leveraging partnerships and referrals, the initiative ensures a well-rounded support system for high school students navigating the transition to college or the workplace.
OUR PARTNERS
THE INSTITUTIONS THAT PARTNER WITH US TO HELP CREATE IMPACT!
Aetna Better Health of Louisiana Partners with the Legacy Institute for Statewide Financial Literacy Programming
In March 2024, Aetna Better Health of Louisiana partnered with our organization by providing a sponsorship to help expand our financial literacy programming across Regions 4,5,6,7 and 8 of Louisiana throughout 2024!
“Financial literacy is not an end in itself, but a step-by-step process. It begins in childhood and continues throughout a person’s life all the way to retirement. Instilling the financial-literacy message in children is especially important, because they will carry it for the rest of their lives. We should all do our part to make sure all children develop and strengthen their financial-literacy skills.”
– George Carl, chairman of the National CPA Financial Literacy Commission
